Herbs, herbs and more herbs

Corey followed a strict regimen of brewing various herbs in tea form, especially throughout her third trimester. Many of the bulk herbs came from an Ann Arbor wholistic living store, called Indigo Forest. They included: red raspberry leaf, alfalfa, oat straw, red clover, nettle, rose hips and spearmint leaf. She referenced The Natural Pregnancy Book by Aviva Jill Romm, MD.

She also used a variety of herbs and essential oils for her skin. Our doula, Isabelle Yingling, brewed special post-delivery healing bath teas and washes, which included comfrey root, comfrey leaf, calendula, lavender, and myrrh.
